Interesting side effect; my mouth is dry. Dunno why, as I'm drinking about 4litres of water a day. Anyone know why?
I could ask my locum lady, but don't want to bother her on a Sunday. They say they don't mind, but who wants to work on a Sunday! Frankly I'd rather not work any day!

That's the weirdest thing- I went on a VLCD a few years ago and had the dry mouth thing too! At least you're a girl and can wear lip gloss!!!
Still, I lost 5 stone in half a year, and haven't put it back on, so who's complaining!
lip gloss! Genius!!!
ok - possibly its the ketones being produced that can make the mouth dry?!? in which case its your body's way of telling you it can cope with a bit more water - which is a good thing, because you are learning to listen to your body. But increase it gradually by say 250ml - see how you get on. If you start to feel a bit uneasy - then again, that's your bodys way of telling you, you have hit your limit. Also, spread your water over the course of the day, it will do you no good if you gulp a litre first thing in the morning (which can be easily be done) as you would be dehydrated overnight. The body needs to know there is a constant flow of fluids. - hope that helps?!?
hello 'anonymous' if that IS your real name.
You really know your stuff- you've obviously done this ketosis thing before!
